Inspired by the flavours of South Africa:
Working with a young South African Chef Patron of the 3 star AA rosette, Merchants Manor, in Falmouth, we created this fabulous, flavoursome pasty.
Visiting the restaurant we were blown away with Hylton Epey’s family Bobotie recipe.
We loved the Bobotie pie we had tasted so much that we asked Hylton to work with us to develop the flavours in a hand-crimped pasty – Oh and we also wanted it to be plant-based!
Working with the base ingredients, spices and flavours, we found that Jackfruit was the prefect accompaniment for our Award Winning pasty.
For every vegan pasty we sell, we make a donation to our Charity – The Word Forest Organisation. A small UK based Charity who plant trees, support communities and build classrooms in Kenya.
